"Woodrat Jill" is now available! "We endangered animals have to stick together." Survival is the name of the game for Jill, a Key Largo woodrat who is set free in the wild after being bred in captivity. Join Woodrat Jill on her travels through Crocodile Lake wildlife refuge as she learns to share her amazing new habitat with other animals. When you buy the book, a donation is made to help with the recovery program for the Key Largo woodrat! Woodrat Jill is sponsored in part by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council, the National Endowment for the arts, and private donations.

The children's book entitled Woodrat Jill is at the printer right now. The story features the adventures of an endangered woodrat raised in captivity, and then is released into the wild. The book is written by Nicky Laak and Illustrated by me! It was a lot of fun making the books creatures come to life. A portion of the proceeds will be going to F.A.V.O.R. (Friend and Volunteers of Refuges in the Florida Keys). Check out their web site, www.favorfloridakeys.com
