This painting is one of the last of the Northern white rhinos in Kenya. I met her in Ole Pejeta where the oldest white rhino Sudan had lived. It is a deeply moving experience to be in the presence of an animal on the brink of extinction.

The painting is of an encounter in Grand Teton National Park. We had just gotten to Jackson, checked in and rushed to the park. I spotted the bison and jumped out of the car to start taking pictures (At a safe distance). I put the camera down for a minute and looked out over the horizon, that's when the the Tetons came into view.
